Do you film during a Saskatchewan winter, or should we wait until spring?
This depends on you but there is no need to wait. We can film outdoors in all weather and as long as you and your love one are comfortable we will make it work!
Most legacy filming happens indoors, in a warm quiet living room or at the kitchen table, so winter is a great season for filming especially when families gather over the holidays and want to preserve a story while everyone is together.
If a family hopes to film at an outdoor location that matters to them, we can plan that portion for warmer months.
Can you film in Saskatoon care homes and retirement residences?
Yes. We regularly film in Saskatoon care homes and retirement residences, including memory care settings, and we work quietly around staff schedules, meal times, and rest periods so your loved one stays comfortable. We are happy to coordinate with activity directors or family liaisons in advance, and we keep our footprint small so filming feels calm rather than disruptive.
Can you film at a family farm or acreage outside Saskatoon?
Yes, and it is one of the most meaningful things we do. For many Saskatchewan families the farm, the land, or the home quarter is central to the whole story, and filming an interview there, or gathering footage of the place itself, brings something no studio setting can. We regularly travel to farms and acreages around Saskatoon and across the region.
Do you travel outside Saskatoon?
Yes. We regularly film in nearby communities and travel across the province, including to Regina, Moose Jaw, Swift Current, Prince Albert, Humboldt and North Battleford.

We have family coming to Saskatoon for a milestone. Can filming happen around a birthday or reunion?
Yes, and those gatherings are often the perfect time. When family travels to Saskatoon for a significant birthday, an anniversary, or a reunion, we can schedule the interview around the event so more of the family can take part or be present. Because these dates are set well ahead, we recommend booking early to protect the timing.
Our parent is in Saskatoon but the family is spread across the country. How does that work?
This is one of the most common situations we handle. The person whose story we are preserving is here in Saskatoon, while adult children are often in Calgary, Vancouver, Toronto, or farther, and the whole process can be arranged remotely, from the first conversation to reviewing the finished film. Distant family members can take part in the planning, suggest questions, and view a private draft online before the film is complete.
